![]() I knew what it was, because it was the summer and I live in the country and it's impossible to escape the flies. A few days after that (practically over night) a canopy of congealed tissues of various sorts (hair, skin, some blood, etc) had formed, underneath there was a wriggling mass. About three days in I notice the incision is starting to look not too good, so I call the vet and he gives me some spray to use. Anyway, parents took off for their trip and I was left with my dog. Looked (relatively) fine after a few days of healing. He had just had an operation to relieve an abscess on his anus, so he was shaved a bit, with a small incision. I was once looking after my Dad's place while he and my step mom went on a trip. TL DR: Roach nest above my bed.shit rained down for weeks until I figured out what it was. I NOPEd so hard, the entire city could feel it. Thousands of pieces of shit poured out onto bed from what the exterminator said was a "pretty decent sized" roach nest in my ceiling. I pushed on the wall, and what happened next is this NOPE moment I can never forget. I followed the wall up and saw a thin, but very long crack running along the seam between the sheetrock and the molding. ![]() I pulled off all my sheets, ripped open my mattress, ripped open my box spring, flipped my bed over, dumped out my dresser, but I couldn't find the source BUT amidst my rampage it hit me.they were coming from above I tore everything in my room apart.everything. It was 2am and I was drunk when I made this conclusion. Due to their frequency of appearance and uniform size it didn't take me long to realize that some thing was creating these, which lead me to conclude they could only be feces of some sort. They would be everywhere, in my sheets, under my pillow.in my hair. ![]() Every morning I would wake up, and find these tiny little specks of what looked like pieces of dirt. I kept noticing little black specks in my bed. Tl dr - Nest of gigantic mutant centipedes in my closet Even weeks after they were exterminated, I couldn't step foot into my room. It turns out that a nest of them were in the attic space above the closet, and the nest had grown too large for the small attic. From the desk chair, I garnered the courage to try to open up the closet (I used my Bop-It to reach and pull it open, I didn't even want to touch the handle) and when I finally got it open, I found that the carpet, shelves and walls were COVERED in GIANT FUCKING CENTIPEDES.HUNDREDS OF THEM, LIVING A FEW FEET FROM MY BED.NOPE! I slammed the closet, grabbed blankets and my pillow off the bed and bolted out of there, and slept on the couch for weeks. Hopping from my bed to my desk chair, I reached the main lightswitch for the room and turned it on. ![]() Whatever it was, it ran over to my closet and squeezed between the two open curtains. I remember my first thought was that it must be a mouse, so I immediately got up and stood on the bed. I looked over to where the bulb was and saw something black scurry away from the wall really quickly. I'll go first- I was about 5 or 6 years old trying to fall asleep in my room when I noticed the light had suddenly defused, as if it had dimmed (yes, I was using a nightlight.but hey, I was little). I've seen quite a few NOPES in my day, but i'm wondering about that one "nope" that trumps all others. ![]()
